Carrie Rondeau-Fahie
I began my career with CDHA in 2001 at the Halifax Infirmary as a Sterile Processing Aide. Wanting to continue my educational journey, I completed the Vancouver Community College Technician Course and continued on to the CSA CMDRT course to become a Certified Technician.
I have held many titles during my 20 + year career within the Medical Device Reprocessing Department due to my drive and passion, such as SPD Resource, Center Core (OR) Resource, Preceptor; Training new staff; Charge Person. In 2017, I took on the MDR/OR Team Lead role at the Halifax Infirmary.
Having been actively involved with the Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Nova Scotia for the past 5 plus years, I have served on the Provincial Policy & Procedures committee, the MDR HI Accreditation Team, am presently chairing and am President of the HI Education Committee, am an active member of the Canadian Association of Medical Device Reprocessing (CAMDR), as well as am a member of the Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Nova Scotia (MDRANS).
Having had the opportunity to be a part of these organizations has been an amazing experience and opportunity. The ability to be able to network, learn from the extensive knowledge of this team and work with some of our industry leaders, has been one of the greats experiences of my career. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, I live just outside of Halifax with my husband, 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. In our downtime, you will likely find us camping and spending time with our friends and family
